Believe it or not, were heading into summer… I know, with the current weather in the United Kingdom, it doesn’t really feel like it!
Now is the time to start preparing for it though, especially if we are going to get the forty degree temperatures that we had last year.
Get booked in now for your Air con re-gassing, yes this is a thing and may explain why your air con system is blowing more heat that cool. You should expect to service the Air conditioning every 2 years or so, or when its blowing warmer than usual or its starting to smell musty/damp. These are all signs its ready for a re-gas service.
We have a super duper machine that pulls the current gas out of the vehicle, checks the condition of it, sends a dye round the system to check for leaks, then re fills it with the new gas topping it up.
There are two different types of gas that we use, older cars have the R-134a and cars that were made from 17th January 2017 use the R-1234yf which is more environmentally friendly. (please note a few cars that were made from Jan 2013 are also using the newer gas).
