The Race range has a spectacular function where the red dye within the oil maintains its colour whilst it is still suitable for use. The moment it starts to tinge to a dark brown/black colour, it indicates time for an Oil change.

Finding the right oil for you

Fuchs have a really handy Product Finder tool which will help narrow it down to the correct oil for your vehicle. In terms of Oil grades, here is a quick guide to further understand what the grades mean.

‘Motor oil grades refer to the varying degrees of viscosity of a liquid, identified by a combination of numbers and letters, for example, 10W-40 – this is the ‘grade’. ‘Viscosity’ itself refers to how easily a liquid moves or flows at a given temperature.

Looking at the grade measurement of the oil

  • The first part (e.g. 10W), is an indication of how the oil will flow in cold or winter (hence the ‘W’) conditions. The lower number, the easier the flow, so 5W-30 will have a better cold flow than 10W-30.
  • The second number indicates how well the engine oil flows at normal operating temperature, so the lower the number, the easier the flow.’

Your race oils are available for collection from Finishline, please phone or email to order the correct product for your vehicle.
