MGCC MG Trophy Championship - 13th July - Chris Bray
Last weekend saw Chris racing in Scotland, the Championship hasn't been north of the boarder since 2011 so the Scottish drivers were keen to use the opportunity to show everyone how it's done at Knockhill! Qualifying was a tough session with the Scottish cars flying, set up problems saw Chris struggling to match the pace, after a few quick tweaks to the car he managed to qualify in 4th.
The car set up still wasn't quite right for Race 1 and Chris was slightly off the pace of the leading pack. He settled into 6th position early on and held this for the remainder of the race.
A few more tweaks to the set up (a change to the front springs) enabled Chris to push the pace slightly in Race 2. The lead 3 cars were a tight pack and Chris was still unable to maintain the same pace but he comfortable held 4th until the chequered flag.
Despite some disappointing results this weekend Chris is still leading his class. He is now sitting third in the overall Championship standing but with only a few points in it this could all change after the next round at Donington!
