Racing Updates - 10th & 11th May
James Houston - Caterham Roadsport Championship

James was at Donington and had a weekend of mixed results. He suffered gearbox issues in qualifying that put him to the back of the pack, despite this he managed to qualify in 10th. He got a good start in Race 1 and spent most of the race fighting for postions between 8th, 9th and 10th, however, on his last lap he had contact and suffered a damaged wheel arch, split rim, torn tyre and broken exhaust mount - despite this he managed to nurse the car home in 16th. Race 2 saw James starting 16th on the grid, again he managed to get another good start and took 3 places into turn 1 - he then spent the rest of the race battling his way up the grid and finished in a very respectable 8th with some strong lap times.

Tony Liversidge - BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship

This was very much a weekend of firsts for Tony - it was his first time at Anglesey Circuit and this weekend also saw him take his first trophy! The weekend started with an average qualifying session that saw Tony starting mid-pack for Race 1. Slight contact at the start put him back to 14th place but he had a fantastic race and was able to battle his way back up the pack and finish in 4th - earning himself some well deserved silverware! His finish in race 1 meant he qualified for the 'A' race for Race 2 - he started 19th on the grid and after a fairly uneventful race finished in 16th. Race 3 saw Tony starting in pole however the race wasn't without its dramas, some tough competition and a spin all saw him finish in 9th.

Dave Heasman - Kumho BMW Championship

Dave was out at Snetterton over the weekend and had another very succesful drive. Despite the wet conditions, a strong qualifying session saw Dave leading the way for his Class, fortunately both races took place the following day and were on a dry track. Dave had an excellent drive in both races and not only won his class in both but also achieved fastest lap for Class C.
